They just elected a new Pope.

I am scared. It's one of those important names; those you read about in history books, and not in a good way.
I hope he will be good just like Papa Francesco. I hope he can manage to bring unity and peace.
I hope.

On Sunday morning I wish to go to Piazza San Pietro to hear the Angelus. I am not religious, but I do wish to embrace that feeling of hopefulness and of a "fresh start" that all those people there will feel.
I want to be part of something greater, even if just for a day.

I do envy people who have faith. They have something to hold on to, something that keeps them going through dark times. I don't think I have that - no, that's not true; I have love! Love for my family, love for my friends - old and new, for my work and my city, and I have hope for my future.
